Novel o-benzylating reagent used with acid catalysts

TriBOT


This product is used for benzylation of hydroxyl group under the presence of acids such as trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. It is stable against humidity or air, and can be stored in room temperature for long-term. One molecule contains 3 benzyl groups, so 1 equiv. of TriBOT can afford 3 equiv. of benzylation reaction; being very cost effective.
