Wakosil-II 5C18 AR is polymeric ODS packing. Durable packing hard to be hydrolyzed even when mobile phases are acidic (pH1.4).
Useful for separation of peptides, structural isomers, etc. In case that separation characteristic is different from conventional monomeric ODS silica gel, specific behavior can be seen.

Acid Resistance

After replacement with 1.0% trifluoroacetic acid solution (pH1.4), each packed column was left at rest in a thermostatic chamber at 60˚C, and the capacity factor K of naphthalene peak was measured every 14 hours (the uracil peak was regarded as t0).

Alkali Resistance

Eluent :40% CH3CN in 20mM Na2HPO4(pH9.4)

Detection :UV 254nm

Mobile phases were continuously transferred to each packed column
at 40˚C. The theoretical plate number N was measured based on the N,N-dimethylaniline peak at every specified time interval.
