Silica gel having a particle size of 5 μm and a pore size of 12 nm is chemically bonded to cyanopropyl groups. These fillers can be used in both normal and reverse phase modes by changing the mobile phase. In the reverse phase mode, their hydrophobic interaction is lowest, and they are suitable for reduction of analysis time and analysis of composite samples containing components greatly differing in polarity.
Wakosil®-II 5CN is a filler consisting of high-purity silica gel chemically bonded to cyanopropyl groups and suitable for analysis of compounds which may be affected by metallic impurities.
